HAND DOWN MAN DOWN ( SEARCH FOR NEW YORK KNICKS NEW HEAD COACH)

On Friday, December 6th the New York Knicks announced that they fired their head coach David Fizdale. This did not come as a surprise with the writing being on the wall thanks to the impromptu press conference that President  Steve Mills and General Manager Scott Perry held after the Knicks lost by 21 points to the Cleveland Cavilers on November 10th. Once this occurred it was just a matter of time until Fizdale would be relieved of his duty as a coach. The next question who will be the next coach of the Knicks? They play in the big apple and the Knicks just like an apple are rotten from the inside. The dysfunction starts at the top with the organization not sticking with a plan and having the patience to see it through. As soon as things go bad they abandon ship and fire the coach. The Knicks have the lowest winning percentage of any NBA team over the last 20 Years. In the last 20 years, the Knicks have had 13 different head coaches. The next head coach would have to be Mark Jackson, he is a former Knick but also a he is from Queens. I mention him being from New York as a plus so that the fans of the team can have someone that they have a connection to and will be patient with. Patience is key for both the fans and the Knicks executives. The great organizations have stability from top to bottom. Some examples include the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat. These are both organizations where the players hear the same message from everyone in the front office and coaching roles. If the Knicks want to get back to that nostalgic feeling of the 90's they have to hire Mark Jackson and come up with a plan and stick to it. Meaning likely than not the team will experience some more losses due to growing pains before the winning can begin to manifest. The Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers are examples of teams who put together a plan and stuck to it and experienced growing pains. Now both of these teams are top contenders in their conference. The Knicks may be the most valuable franchise in the NBA but are the laughing stock as well. Change things hire Mark Jackson and make a plan in which everyone is on the same page with the direction you see the team going and stick to it.
